La Maleyrie overlooks the unspoiled Viaur valley and is perfect for river swimming, walking, cycling on or off road and horse riding. A chemin or communal track passes behind the property and can be followed down to the river (25 minutes) or onto a large number of other sign-posted ways, including one of the GR de Pays waymarked routes, to discover the ruins of ancient fortresses, abandoned villages, natural features and habitats.
The river is five minutes away by car or bicycle and is in a beautiful setting. There is a maintained leisure area where the river has extensive shallow sections and a large section that is deep and swimmable where a tributary joins. There are many other parts of the river to enjoy and be accessed on walks, cycle rides or by car. Within a 50 minute radius there are excellent outdoor activities including horse-riding, mountain lake and river water sports and the Cap Découverte activities park offering artificial slope skiing, luge, skateboard park and much more. |
